  • Poster presentation at the Canadian Rheumatology Association meeting at mont-blant, QC in Feb/2005, topic: Prevalence of MGUS in SLE.
  • Poster presentation in annual education and research day and Dr. CHARLES Hollenberg Clinician-Scientist program at University of Toronto in May/2005.
  • Poster presentation of 2 abstract to the American college of rheumatology annual session on San Diego, USA Nov/2005. One abstract on “PREVALENCE OF MGUS IN SLE” and the second abstract on “OUTCOMES IN PATIENTS WITH ACTIVE LUPUS NEPHRITIS REQUIRING IMMUNOSUPPRESSIVES WHO NEVER RECEIVED CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE”. Currently I am in the process of writing both papers for publication.
  • An abstract looking for causes of mortality in psoriatic arthritis cohort followed at University of Toronto from 1974-2005, total of 650 patients, was submitted to Canadian rheumatology association next meeting in Cancun Feb/06. The title of the abstract is “Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significant (MGUS) in SLE”.



  • Received the lupus 2007 Young Investigator Award during the international congress on SLE held in Shanghai, China May 23-27, 2007.
  • Received the Alan Wu award as part of the IMS (institutional of medical science) research day at University of Toronto May/2007.



  • Review paper has been submitted for publication on “Autoimmunity and premature atherosclerosis: The role of antiphospholipid antibodies”.
